From the recording Walking
My newest song is a single and it's called "Walking."
I decided to write a song that truly reflects how we feel when we become victimized in some way. Being lead down a path with the promise of something great, something that fits into our desires, hopes or dreams, but is a complete illusion. We get taken advantage of and the feeling of being ripped off really hurts. I think it is important to talk about that and the consequences it has on one's soul.
Lyrics
I'm walking my way down, that dirty old road
I'm walking my way down, and I don't wanna go
I'm walking my way down, for something I owed
I'm walking my way down, and I don't wanna go
I lost my soul
I sold my soul, for the big bright lights
Signed my name, but it didn't feel so right
Nobody told me, I would pay the price
And I sold my soul, for a fool's paradise
For the Big life
Gotta pay the price
I'm walking my way down, that dirty old road
I'm walking my way down, and I don't wanna go
I'm walking my way down, for something I owed
I'm walking my way on down, and I don't wanna go
Oh no no
Nothing to show
Now, time to pay, oh he's calling my name
There's no way out, of this trouble you say
I played my cards, and there no one to blame
The devil's won my soul, in his con game
Oh nooo
No one to blame
I'm walking my way down
I'm walking my way down
I'm walking my way down
I'm walking my way down, and I don't wanna go
I'm walking my way down
I'm walking my way down
I'm walking my way down
I'm walking my way down, and I don't wanna go
